Bobcat Track & Field Bobcats 2nd Place State 2A Track Team	Bobcats finish 2nd in State 2A Track & Field Meet The varsity boys finished second in the State AA Track & Field Meet in Austin on Saturday, May 10th with 42 points in three events. High Jump - X. Smith placed 3rd with a jump of 6' 6 " The 4x100 relay ( X. Smith, L. Hogan, C. Toliver, and C. Busby) finished 2nd with a time of 42.07 sec. The 4x200 relay ( M. Thompson, C. Busby, L. Hogan and C. Toliver) finished 1st with a time of 1:28.46 (their season best) Congratulations Bobcats on a great season!

Ladycat Track & Field Ladycats took the Bronze in two relays at State.	Ladycats finish 3rd in State Relays The varsity girls finished 3rd in two relays at the State AA Track & Field Meet in Austin on Saturday, May 10th. Out of 57 teams competing at the UIL Tracka nd Field 2A State Chamionships held a Mike Myers Stadium at UT-Austin, the Ladycats finished 8th place overall with 24 points. The 4x100 relay ( A. Tate, Ke. Hill, Ky. Hill, and K. Hudgen) finished 3rd with a time of 48.90 sec. The 4x200 relay (C. Smith, Ke. Hill, Ky. Hill, and K. Hudgen) finished 3rd with a time of 1:44.61. Congratulations Ladycats!

	Bobcat Golfer Qualifies for Regional B. Duncan qualified for regionals in golf. Duncan shot an 88 at the District 26-2A Golf Tournament at Legendary Oaks on Wednesday, April 2nd. Duncan advanced to the regional golf tournament in San Marcos. Way to Go !!!

Bobcat Powerlifters	Bobcat Powerlifter Qualifies for State Three Bobcats qualified for regionals in powerlifting. Joel, Ethan, and Marvin competed in Gatesville on Saturday, March 8th. Joel advanced to state competition on March 29th. Good Job Powerlifting !!!

Bobcat Basketball Regional Quarterfinalists! Varsity Record Season 23 & 12 District 10 & 4	Bobcats Finish Season as Regional Quarterfinalists! The Bobcats lost their match-up with the New Waverly Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 26th and finished the 2008 season as Regional Quarterfinalists. Ladycat Basketball Regional Finalists! Varsity Record Season 26 & 11 District 12 & 2	Ladycats Finish Season as Regional Finalists! The Ladycats are one of the top 8 teams in the state and finished the 2008 season as Regional Finalists. The Ladycats defeated Nixon-Smiley High School 59-40 in the Regional Semifinals on Friday, February 22nd, but lost out to Poth High School 39-33 in the Regional Finals on Saturday, February 23rd. Congratulations Ladycats on a great basketball season! We are proud of you! WAY TO GO LADYCATS !!!

Bobcat Football Bi-District Finalists! Varsity Record Season 5 & 5 District 3 & 2	Bobcats Finish Season as Bi-District Finalists! The Hempstead Bobcats made it to the state play-offs again this year. The Bobcats lost17-7 to the Salado Eagles in Bi-District on Friday, November 16th at Viking Stadium.and finished the 2007 season as Bi-District Finalists.
